Inspiring female startup founders
Although the ratios have improved in recent years, the start-up world is still typically a male-dominated field. That’s why it is so important to get to know the inspiring female entrepreneurs who have been able to create the world’s most successful start-ups. The so-called unicorns, start-ups that are valued at over a billion dollars. There are currently around 1,200 of these businesses globally. Of these startups, nearly 100 have also female founders, and only 13 unicorns have female-only founders. In this workshop, we will review these companies, meet the founders and analyse together what we can learn from their examples. We will look at the sectors in which female founders have been successful and whether there are specific characteristics of their regional distribution.
